A comme Absinthe - Z comme Zola: L’Abécédaire de l’absinthe is the latest book by the renowned French art-historian Benoit
Noel, a life long devotee of the Green Fairy, and the author of several bestselling previous works on the subject. The extensive
forward is by Joël Guiraud, Curator of the Musée Pontarlier.
Written in French, the book consists of short sections on every aspect of the drink, arranged alphabetically from A to Z. This
format helps make the text accessible to anyone with high-school level French, as do the numerous illustrations in both colour
and black and white (including photos of many items from the Virtual Absinthe Museum). Absinthiana collectors will be
particularly interested in the many rare posters, advertising cartons, postcards and ephemeral items illustrated.
There's lots of fascinating information here not available anywhere else, and if you're seriously interested in the history and lore
of the drink, this book is an essential purchase.
The book measures 15 x 24cm and has 224 pages with 160 illustrations. Each copy shipped will be individually signed by the
