Absinthe Alambics II - The Vichet Archive
|
The original schematics and invoices for the Egrot absinthe alambics installed at the Vichet distillery in Pontarlier in 1898, together with an albumen print of the stills taken shortly afterwards.
|
A remarkable photograph circa 1900 showing the newly installed Egrot alambics at the Vichet distillery. On the far wall can be
seen two of the famous Absinthe Vichet posters designed by Nover, while a lithographed tin plaque with the same design is
affixed to the side of the cooling tank (just to the left of the head of the figure in the foreground).
Detailed schematics for the Egrot absinthe still, very similar to the model shown in the 1899 Maison Egrot Catalogue. Click on the images to see enlarged versions.
